1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Tembo by Jackson Collection ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit our website, make an enquiry, request a quotation, subscribe to communications, or engage with us in relation to our camps, safaris, transfers, and related travel services.

By using our website or providing information to us, you acknowledge that your personal information may be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect personal information in the following ways:

• Information you give us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, country of residence, travel dates, number of guests, booking preferences, dietary requirements, accessibility needs, special occasions, and the content of messages you send to us.
• Booking and travel information. Where required to arrange a safari or related service, we may collect passport details, flight information, transfer details, rooming requirements, emergency contact details, and information needed by camps, guides, airlines, transfer providers, park authorities, or other travel suppliers.
• Payment and transaction information. We may receive payment confirmation, billing information, invoice records, and other details needed to administer bookings. We do not intentionally collect full card details through this website unless a secure payment provider is used for that purpose.
• Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider processes standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages requested, in order to serve the site securely and reliably. We do not use this information to build a profile of you, and we do not currently run analytics on this website.

3. Cookies

We keep cookie use to a minimum. This website does not use advertising cookies, and we do not currently run analytics or third-party tracking on it.

Essential cookies. These are needed for the site to work and are set without consent:

• A small record of your cookie choice, stored in your browser so we do not ask again on every visit. It is not shared with anyone.
• Our booking engine, provided by ReservePort (Pesapal), sets cookies needed to search availability, hold a selection, and complete a reservation. These are only set when you open our reservations page.

Optional cookies. The film on our homepage is hosted on YouTube. Until you accept optional cookies, we load it from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, which does not set tracking cookies. If you accept, the standard YouTube player is used and YouTube may set its own cookies.

Embedded maps. Camp location maps are embedded from Google Maps and load with the page. Google may set its own cookies when the maps load.

Your choice. We ask on your first visit and remember your answer. You can change it at any time through the Cookie Settings link in our footer, or clear it through your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies will stop the booking engine from working.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

• To respond to enquiries and provide rates, availability, quotations, and itinerary information.
• To process bookings, manage reservations, arrange transfers, and coordinate safari services.
• To communicate with you before, during, and after travel.
• To provide information requested by camps, guides, transfer providers, airlines, park authorities, and other suppliers involved in your itinerary.
• To improve our website, services, guest experience, and internal operations.
• To send marketing or informational communications where permitted by law or with your consent.
• To comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, and regulatory obligations.

5. Sharing & Service Providers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information where reasonably necessary with service providers and partners who help us operate the website, respond to enquiries, process bookings, arrange accommodation, provide transport, manage payments, perform analytics, or deliver other services connected with your travel.

We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order, government authority, park authority, immigration process, or where necessary to protect our rights, guests, staff, property, or operations.

6. Data Security & Confidentiality

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Access to personal information is limited to people and service providers who need it for legitimate business or operational purposes.

No website, email system, or electronic storage method is completely secure. For this reason, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us online.

7. Your Rights & Retention

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide services, manage records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

8. Children & Changes

Our website is not directed at children. Where children travel as part of a booking, information about them should be provided by a parent, guardian, or authorised adult.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
