Spirit of Tembo, Lemek Conservancy
The Lemek Conservancy is located to the north-east of the Masai Mara National Reserve, and offers a varied landscape of hills and open savannahs with a few scattered trees zigzagging along the Mara River. These landscapes, which are very different from those of the nearby reserve, with magnificent views of the Masai Mara's highest hill, are home to an abundance of resident wildlife, including a large pride of lions, leopards, many elephants and mammals (including many resident wildebeest and zebra, which do not migrate) and of course many transients.
Like all conservancies, it is also a regular refuge for cheetah families fleeing the tourist pressure of the nearby National Reserve. The Spirit of Tembo lodge is nestled at the top of a hill and comprises four traditional tented rooms that have been furnished with the utmost attention to detail for the comfort of our guests. Each tent of around 80 m2 has the most modern comforts, and a sumptuous, huge bathroom opening onto one of the beautiful, unoverlooked terraces that complete these magnificent canvas houses. A bar and a very fine restaurant, either indoors or on the terrace, will offer you the most elaborate drinks and dishes that, after the visual pleasures and emotions of safaris, will delight your taste buds.

You can discover the pleasures and emotions of night safaris, where you'll encounter rarely-seen nocturnal wildlife.
You can go on safari on foot, supervised by our guides and askaris, and experience the intense emotions of being close to the animals, in complete safety, but without the screen of a vehicle.
