Notes from camp: a plaque for the Sunset Lounge, 35 days with Patrick Klien, and a sundowner in Lemek

Andy Benaglia's artwork for the Sunset Lounge plaque: an elephant at sunset under the words Sunset Lounge and the Tembo by Jackson Collection emblem

A plaque for the Sunset Lounge

Andy Benaglia, former tour manager and professional photographer, is also an artistic printer based in Milan. He has made this lovely artwork, an elephant at sunset under the words Sunset Lounge, for the lounge bar plaque that will be displayed in the Sunset Lounge at Tembo Bush Camp.

35 days with Patrick Klien

Patrick Klien is a globe-trotting professional photographer, seen here at Tembo Bush Camp with his wife and a friend, chatting around the evening campfire with the camp's founder, Jackson Naurori. Patrick recently stayed 35 days, leaving each morning on a full-day game drive at sunrise and returning at sunset. He has a stunning collection of wildlife photographs, both stills and video. A former French army captain, Patrick has written four books on his globetrotting adventures. He was highly enthusiastic over the new media tent built at Tembo Bush Camp for keen photographers like himself, and he has promised to return next year.

A sundowner in Lemek

After an exciting game drive in the beautiful Lemek Conservancy, what better way to enjoy the fabulous Mara sunset than to have your Tembo Spirit guide pour you a glass of wine at a table on the plains? Memories are made like this, as the short clip below shows.
